1、 Definition of greenhouse

A greenhouse is a building that uses daylighting covering materials as all or part of the enclosure structure,
and can be used for cultivating plants in winter or other seasons that are not suitable for outdoor plant growth.

2、 Types of greenhouses

Classified by end use function

Productive greenhouses: Vegetable cultivation greenhouses, flower cultivation greenhouses,
breeding greenhouses, etc. belong to this category and are mainly used for agricultural production activities.

Experimental (educational) greenhouse: such as artificial climate chambers, greenhouse laboratories, etc., used for scientific research, education and teaching activities.

Commercial greenhouses: Various ornamental greenhouses, retail greenhouses, commodity wholesale greenhouses, etc. are allowed for public access and have commercial uses.

Classified by roof truss material, lighting material, appearance, and heating conditions, etc

Planting greenhouse, breeding greenhouse, exhibition greenhouse, experimental greenhouse, catering greenhouse, entertainment greenhouse, etc.: These greenhouses vary depending on their uses.
For example, planting greenhouse focuses on creating an environment for plant planting, while breeding greenhouse is designed according to the needs of the breeding objects.

Glass greenhouse, plastic greenhouse; Single greenhouse and connected greenhouse; Single roof greenhouse, double roof greenhouse; Heated greenhouse, non heated greenhouse, etc.: classified according to different building materials,
structural forms, and whether they are heated or not. Glass greenhouses have good transparency, while plastic greenhouses have relatively low costs; A single greenhouse is relatively independent, while a connected greenhouse has a larger scale;
There are differences in lighting and heat acquisition between single roof greenhouses and double roof greenhouses; Heated greenhouses are suitable for use in cold regions or environments that require special temperatures,
while unheated greenhouses rely more on natural conditions and insulation measures to maintain temperature.

3、 System composition of greenhouse

Heating system: used to increase the temperature inside the greenhouse in cold environments to meet the needs of plant growth or the survival of breeding objects.

Insulation system: Reduce the loss of heat inside the greenhouse, such as using insulation materials to cover the greenhouse's enclosure structure.

Cooling system: Temperature regulation is carried out when the temperature is too high, such as through ventilation, wet curtains, fans, and other methods.

Ventilation system: Ensure the freshness and appropriate humidity of the air inside the greenhouse, eliminate harmful gases, and regulate the temperature and humidity inside the greenhouse.

Control system: Using modern technological means such as computer automatic control, precise control of temperature, humidity,
lighting and other conditions in the greenhouse is achieved to create the optimal environmental conditions required by plants.
It can also be applied to control the breeding environment in breeding greenhouses.
